Two Shows At Good News Café

WOODBURY — Connecticut artist Erin Walrath’s well-traveled “Wanderings” and California painter Gwen Freeman’s unique portraits of family life are featured in two new exhibitions on view through August 9 at The Good News Cafe & Gallery, 694 Main Street South.

“Wanderings” draws upon Ms Walrath’s extensive travels at home and abroad over the past  decade.

Gwen Freeman offers selections of her evocative figurative works and subdued landscapes. Ms Freeman is best known for her “Family Dining Scenes,” unique portraits in which the artist seeks to portray each family member both literally and metaphorically.
