‘Poetic Spirits’ At Craft Center

BROOKFIELD — A unique national, invitational exhibition of fine craftwork opens in the Lynn Tendler Bignell Gallery at Brookfield Craft Center on Sunday, June 20.

The show, entitled “Poetic Spirits,” has been curated by the internationally respected Washington (Conn.)-based artist Tommy Simpson. It will run through August 8.

According to Gallery Director Judith T. Russell, “This exceptional group exhibition features multi-media work by artists who have been asked to provide pieces that ‘emulate their own personal spirit and poetry.’”

The participating artists are Jamie Bennett, Bob Ebendorf, Jim Fawcett, Klindt Houlberg, Ron Issacs, Thomas Mann, Tommy Simpson, Missy Stevens, Roy and Mara Superior, and David and Roberta Williamson.

Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Admission is free.
