Butch Is Back!
Butch Is Back!
To the Editor:
I wanted to thank everyone who helped last week when our new dog ran off and got lost. After four days of being missing, we found Butch at the Danbury dog pound.
I had gotten Butch from a shelter in Maine while I was visiting my sister last month. When he ran away after only three weeks, I was really afraid weâd never see him again.
Thanks to the Newtown Police Department who treated us well and helped keep an eye out for him. Thanks also to George Mattegat and the rest of the crew down at Animal Control for your kindness and helpfulness in trying to find Butch. Mrs Cummings on Glen Road, you saw our flyer and called me to report a strange dog in your neighborhood; it wasnât Butch, but we appreciate you taking the time. To everyone who kept an eye out for him, we are very grateful.
A very special thanks to Debbie Barton, the person who found him at Applebeeâs on Federal Road and kept him contained until Danbury Animal Control could pick him up.
In conclusion, Butch is very happy to be out of doggie jail, and we have heightened security measures here so hopefully he will stay put from now on.
