The Wombat Sisterhood (aka, Team Italy) won the girls' U14 Recreation soccer title with a 3-0 win over Team England in mid June.

Aniko Walsh scored the Wombat's first two goals. Walsh was assisted by Hannah Sepp on the first and scored off a beautiful pass by Emma Shanks. Sepp ended the Wombat scoring attack in the second half. Sepp had a breakaway only to be caught by defender, Elizabeth Cassetta. Sepp, but stayed with the play and scored. Team England had strong contributions by Olivia Steare, Jordan Gomes, and Julia Klein.

Wombats coaches Michael Sepp and Billy Shanks dedicated the win to Dan Toth, father of former Wombat players Janyce and Ally, who passed away in February.

"Dan will always be in our thoughts and prayers and this win and season is dedicated to Dan," Sepp said.

Members of the Wombats celebrate their championship.
