Dolores Clark

Beloved Wife, Mother, And Grandmother

Dolores “Dot” Clark, 84, died June 11, at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was the wife of B. Robin Clark of Newtown. She was born October 3, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Margaret and George Caldwell.

She worked in the insurance industry for many years, first in New York City and later in Newtown.

As a young woman she loved to ski. She also enjoyed baking with her granddaughter, particularly the annual Easter lamb cake, writing poetry, creating artful projects on her computer, gardening, and spending autumn days on the beaches of Cape Cod.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, she is survived by her two sons, Brian Clark, and his fiancée Charlotte Walsh and her daughter, and Bruce Clark, and his wife Laura; and one granddaughter.

Mrs Clark’s final years were spent at The Lutheran Home of Southbury. The professional skill, caring, and empathy of the entire staff gave great comfort to her and her family. It is impossible to adequately thank this group of caring individuals.

Donations in Mrs Clark’s memory may be made to the Lutheran Home of Southbury, 990 Main Street North, Southbury CT 06488-1299.

Services will be private. The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is assisting the family.
