Alexander Keniausis, 92, of Parmalee Hill Road, formerly of Waterbury, died June 12 at the Harborside Health Care-Glen Hill after a long illness.
He is survived by two daughters, Audre Campe of Newtown and Roma Bielskus of Chicago; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was the widower of Ona Bronislava (Kunca).
He was born in Siliskio Kaimes, Lithuania, March 22, 1913, son of the late Jonas and Agatha (Poltereikis) Keniausis. While in Lithuania, he was a teacher and inspector of a school district.
He came to Waterbury in 1949, and worked for the Naugatuck Chemical Division Uniroyal Corp as a technical assistant. He was a member of St Joseph Church, Waterbury.
He moved to Newtown three years ago.
A funeral was held June 15 from Deliniks-Conway Funeral Home to St Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Lithuanian Cemetery.
