A Successful

Post Prom Party

To the Editor:

The Newtown High School Post Prom Party was a huge success! Ask any of the kids that attended. Do you think they enjoyed the hypnotist show at 3 am as much as the DJ that played all night? Or was it the six-foot subs or the giveaways that they enjoyed the most? I think the 14 dorm-size televisions that were given away were a huge hit! Oh, wait a minute, maybe what they enjoyed the most was hanging out and being with their friends all night!

Thank you to The Gym at Newtown for offering us their facility for the night. Thank you to Paul at Wild River Screen-Printing. Thank you to Cumulus Media Radio (i95 FM) for the Dangerfield Comedy Show passes, Avance Esthetiques for the manicures, and to Newtown Drug Center for the summer fun cooler.

Thank you to Coach’s Deli for the subs and a special thanks for delivering to us at 11 at night. Eunice, at Bagel Delight, never ceases to amaze with me with her generous donations of bagels. Thank you to Newtown Deli, Stop & Shop, Costco, and the Big Y Education Express program.

Thank you to the following organizations and individuals for their generous monetary donations: Newtown Lions Club, Curtis Packaging, Newtown Savings Bank, Julia Wasserman, Dr Beck, Drs Licht and Holloway, Newtown Arbor Services, Linda Adamek, Bookkeeping Plus, Honan Funeral Home, and Newtown Board of Realtors.

Thank you to the individuals that helped, advised, and supported me before, during and after the event: John Voket, Bob Virgalla, Paula and Gary Zigman, Jessica Rardin, Terry and Jack Laslo, Tony Tozzi, and my husband Jim.

The Post Prom Party offered a very exciting and safe, drug and alcohol free alternative for our students the morning after the prom.

Thank you,

Barbara Manville
