Sunday, July 24 – An All You Can Eat Lobster and Casino Trip to the Mohegan Sun will be held Sunday, July 24. Cost is $75 per person. The bus will leave the Newtown Middle School at 10 am and return approximately 9:30 pm.

Saturday, August 20 – Take a Summer Cruise on Narragansett Bay on Saturday, August 20. The trip will feature the cruise, lunch, and entertainment. The bus will leave the middle school at 7 am and return approximately 8:30 pm. Cost is $65 per person.

The Middle School Camp still has room. A new site director, Rachael Bolmer, has been hired and she is eager to begin. The camp runs from July 5 to July 29. Some exciting trips have been planned – such as the Checkered Flag Raceway, Go Kart racing (yes, you drive!), Paintball, biking, caving, and rock climbing. The fee for the entire month of July is $800. Sign up for all four weeks, or pick a week you prefer. Prices vary from week to week: the week of July 5-8 is $205; July 11-15 is $255; July 18-22 is $215; and July 25-29 is $225.

There is still room in the Summer Day Camp at Treadwell and Dickinson Park. Day camp fees are $170 for one two-week session, $320 for two two-week sessions and $450 for three two-week sessions. The camp is available for children four years of age (by June 30, 2005) through 6th grade. A copy of a birth certificate is required with tiny tots registrations. Camp runs from July 5 through August 12. You can also sign up for one week, however, this is only taken two weeks prior to start of a session. Fee for one week is $95.  Each camper will receive a T- shirt.
