Eileen D. Plaia, 67, of Newtown died peacefully June 13, with her family at her side. She was the wife of Michael C. Plaia. Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Alan and Florence Wojcik Roddy. A resident of Newtown for the past four years, she was a previous longtime resident of Ridgefield.

Besides her husband, her son Michael A. Plaia, and his wife Alina, of Park City, Utah, and her daughter Nicole Rosenberger, and her husband Michael, of Bethel;  grandchildren Nicolas and Dina Plaia and Benjamin and Natalie Rosenberger; and her sister Diane Falconieri, and her husband Thomas, of Ridgefield survive Mrs Plaia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 19, at 10:30 am at St Peter Church, 104 Main Street, Danbury. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received Wednesday, June 18, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury.
