The Homesteads at Newtown held a fundraiser on June 10 to benefit Alzheimer’s Association of Connecticut. This was the  fourth annual car show and craft fair held at The Homesteads.

Cars entered in the show were judged with prizes awarded for Best Classic, Best Muscle Car, Best Corvette, Best in Show, and two people’s choice awards, a senior’s choice and a junior’s choice.

Stephen Pearlman’s 1929 Buick Marquette won Best in Show and Best Classic.

Craft booths exhibited jewelry, shawls, doll clothes, and Russian nesting dolls. The food tent served up hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausage grinders. A variety of prizes were raffled. Vincent Lamenza emceed the proceeds and performed music of the 1940s and ‘50s.
