Hurricanes 6, New Hartford 0 â After scoring just nine goals in their first 11 games, the Hurricanes have exploded for 14 goals in their last two games ⦠the latest offensive explosion coming in a win over New Hartford. Sarah Shannon scored a goal and assisted on another while Danielle Norris had a goal and two assists to fuel the offense. Haley Keane, Emily Kluga and Cara Colacurcio also scored as Gina Bonacci and Sarah Feinstein had assists. Heather Johnson preserved the shutout in goal.
Boys U13
Raptors 5, Strikers 2 â In a pitched battle between two Newtown contingents, Kyle Moore scored a pair of goals (both assisted by Daniel Lynch) but the Strikers fell to the Raptors. Offensive pressure was provided by Aaron Nezveksy and Daniel Hufziger. Tony Vacaro and Alex Miller supported the defense well.
Raptors 9, Strikers 3 â Daniel Lynch of the Strikers notched a hat trick in a loss to the Raptors. Kyle Moore provided two assists and Russell Morgan had one. Dakota Voliotes, George Delia and Michael Carrafiello kept the pressure on.

Power 4, New Milford 0 â Maddy Keane had a hat trick, scoring twice on corner kicks and once from twenty-five yards out, to lead the Power to the win. Kelley Gaston scored the other goal on huge throw-in. Nicole Davis and Nora Murphy played well at forward. Jessica Jowdy, Cristina Naldini and Christina Caporale and played well in the midfield.
Power 1, Brookfield 1 â Ale Fuentes scored the lone goal on an assist from Ali Korchman as the Power drew even with Brookfield. Meaghan Carney and Hannah Maret played well in the midfield as Leah Barrett, Katherine Scott and Celeste Cheung anchored the defense.

Force 6, New Hartford 4 â John Imbimbo scored twice while Sean Burson, Travis LeBlanc, Francis Afriyie and Evan Garrett added one apiece to lift the Force to the win over New Hartford. Sean Burson also had two assists while Peter Ovendorf and Greg Campbell each contributed an assist. Trevor Carey, Josh Gilbert and Jim Mooney anchored the defense.
Watertown 5, Force 0 â Austin Puleri, Thomas Healy and Chris McGowan played well on offense, but the Force fell to Watertown. Tommy Stewart, Chad Cullens and Joe VanVeen also played well supporting the defense.

Monroe 4, Cobras 3 â Connor Quinn scored two goals and assisted on another and Christian Mather provided a solo goal in a loss to Monroe. Nick Gerbo, Nick Barreto, Ian Solaski and Pieter Martino controlled the mid field.
Cobras 10, Stamford 0 â Danny Bittman, Eric Fiore and Sam Langdon scored two goals each in a dominating win. Connor Quinn, Nick Gerbo, Patrick Thornberg and Matt Rahtelli also scored while Bittman notched two assists as teammates Barreto, Erikson and Rahtelli added assists as well.
Cobras 5, Rockville 0 â Connor Quinn scored three goals as Matt Rahtelli and Robert Willis added a goal apiece in a win over Rockville. Christian Mather, Andrew Kelley and Eric Fiore aided with assists. Patrick Thornberg, Andrew Kelley, Stephen Conway and Sean Elliott sparkled on defense.
Cobras 3, Westport 0 â One week after suffering an overtime loss to Westport in the State Cup, the Cobras exacted some measure of revenge with a 3-0 win in the final game of the Newtown Kickoff Tournament. Connor Quinn, Eric Fiore (pk) and Christian Mather (pk) scored scored goals as Nick Gerbo notched an assist. Goalie Sean Elliot earned the shutout as Noah Sock, Stephen Conway, Pieter Martino and Chris Erikson added keyed defensive might.

Flash 8, Danbury 0 â Brittany Tolla scored four goals and Christina Gould added two in a shutout of Danbury. Stephanie Roman and Kristy Papaj also scored as Kristiana Engler had a pair of assists and Kristen Grabowski had one.
Flash 6, Watertown 3 â Stephanie Roman scored three goals to power the Flash to the win. Kelsey Karp, Brittany Tolla and Tressa Scott also scored as Bridget Powers, Morgan Kirol, Jenna Hindes and Julia Trudell anchored the D. Caitlin Yakush and Melissa Buccino nailed down the win in goal.

Jaguars 0, Danbury 0 â In a defensive struggle, Brooke Newton, Emily Grimes and Angela Halili sparked the Jaguars. Ali Brazos and Anna Northrop played well in the midfield as Karlie and Abi Kuligowski preserved the shutout in goal.
Jaguars 4, New Fairfield 1 â Jaclyn Daily, Shannon OâGorman, Reagan Cerney and Taylor Brady all scored to lead the Jaguars to the win. Lindsay Jagoe, Danielle Shine and Tess Murray were standouts defensively.

Hurricanes 1, Danbury 0 (OT) â Goalies Em Audet and Samantha Whitley secured the shutout with a strong performance in the penalty kick shootout. Courtney Berko, Christie Iorfino, Chelsea Young and Whitley all punched one home in the shootout. Maryssa Audet, Kerni Chernoff and Lauren Hutchison played well.
Hurricanes 3, Tigers 1 â Samantha Whitley, Anna Bernath and Christie Iorfino all scored to lead the âCanes to the win. Elena Unschuld played well.

Average Joes 1, Strikers 0 â Connor Hanley scored the lone goal of the game to lead the Joes to the win in first round tournament action. Tim Kelly was solid in goal as James Marusi and Ricky Fuentes had fine efforts.
Average Joes 1, Gators 0 â Evan Swain scored the lone goal to lift the Joes to another win. Joshua Schuette and Patrick Haggerty played great on defense while David Csordas was solid overall.

Huskies 4, Fierce Jaguars 1 â Cole Rogalin, Robbie Schreiber, Michael Parker and Jordan Abraham each scored to lead the Huskies. Owen Richards was outstanding for the Jaguars.
Blue Dragons 2, Vikings 1 â Carter Nordgern punched home a last minute shot to lift the Dragons to the win. Josh Houle also scored as Jeffrey Santore and Austin LeBlanc played well. Matt Maturo scored the lone goal for the Vikings as James Carney was strong at midfield and Daniel McCarthy and James Barry anchored the D.
Girls U8
Mustangs 2, All Stars 0 â Jessica Coughlin and Madeline Sieber scored with an assist from Jessica Keller as the Mustangs grabbed the win. Claire Boyle had a great game on offense for the All-Stars as Casey Harkins and Shelby Tolla sparkled on defense. Kirsten Yapp played a great game in goal.
Huskies 4, Lady Hawks 2 â Sarah Lynch scored three goals to lift the Huskies past the Lady Hawks. Julia Wiberg played well on offense as Jenna Hansen and Makenzie Casey played great defensively. For the Lady Hawks, Megan Milano and Kailee Dunnigan each scored a goal and Haley Ryan, Kendra Dunnigan and Ashley Marks played well all around.
Munchkins 4, Golden Stars 2 â Amy Martinelli scored three goals and Haley Trudell added one to lead the Munchkins to the win. Emily Campbell was solid in goal as Annie Hoffman and Caroline Tanner played excellent on both offense and defense. For the Stars, Katie Bedell and Emma Burns scored the goals as Molly Begg and Catherine McHugh played well in the net. Sarah Lyons and Sarah Lampel played well.

Fighting Irish 3, Sharks 1 â Eddie Henderson, Thomas Leuci and Megan Kelleher all scored and Isabella Luciano was outstanding defensively to lead the Irish. For the Sharks, Erin Tressler scored, Charles Romano was outstanding on both sides of the ball, Anthony Falbo was terrific in the goal and Graham Down put forth a tremendous offensive effort.
Panthers 6, Team (#8) 1 â Max McCleary had three goals and Ryan Harvey added two to lead the Panthers. Evan Eggleston also scored as Megan Nahmias and John Pierce played well on defense.
