Beverly Williams OâKeeffe
Profoundly Missed By Friends And Family
Beverly Williams OâKeeffe, 87, lost her valiant battle with cancer on June 7. She was at home in Stratford with her husband and children when she succumbed to the disease. Mrs OâKeeffe was born on October 29, 1928.
She was the loving daughter of Gertrude Romer Williams and Duncan Ballard Williams, Sr. Her grandfather was well-respected landscape artist Fredrick Ballard Williams, NA. His wonderful paintings graced the walls of her residence as well as those in the Smithsonian.
Her family will profoundly miss her. She and her husband John J. OâKeeffe, or âJackâ as friends knew him, were married for 55 years. Her children are Wendy OâKeeffe Molloy of Newtown, Gary OâKeeffe of New Canaan, Jane OâKeeffe Videtich of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Elizabeth OâKeeffe Stulga of Centreville, Va. She had six grandchildren who loved her dearly: Matthew and Brian Videtich, Sam and Emily Molloy, and Madison and Kathryn Stulga. She is also survived by her brother Duncan Williams and his wife, Barbara, of Forks Township, Penn., and their three daughters, Leslie Wexler, Audrey Williams, and Diana Mc Manus.
Ms OâKeeffe received a bachelor or arts from Syracuse University. Upon graduation she worked as a writer for WW Daily Publication in New York City.
She was married on November 24, 1951, to John J. OâKeeffe. They lived for more that 55 years on Hickok Road in New Canaan, a place she always thought of as âhome-sweet-homeâ. She had many dear friends. They shared memories of love, laughter, and good times from New York to Naples, Fla. She led a full and loving life and will be dearly missed by all her friends and family.
