An ‘Indirect, Direct’ Protest
To The Editor:
Gleanings is one of my favorite sections in The Bee. That being so, I would like to take full advantage of this fact now! I am a “senior, senior” — in the “cautious” category also when it comes to being in crowds, groups, etc, of people in “these our times!”
Recalling the phrase “what you see is what you get,” I would like to place the following quote into a similar manner of speaking, switching to “what you read is what you get,” which is an indirect, “direct” protest from one who cannot be with “the many who are out there,” peacefully, for good cause.
“There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.” — Elie Wiesel
