Junior Girls Claim CONNY Title

The Junior Blue fifth grade girls’ lacrosse team captured first place in its bracket in this past weekend’s CONNY Tournament at Yale University.

In the championship game, Newtown overpowered Greenwich with smothering defense and went on a scoring frenzy to end it, 10-4. Outstanding performances were turned in by all of the girls, with exceptional goaltending from Marisa Lametto leading the way.
