A Successful Soundsphere

To the Editor:

The Newtown International Center for Education (NICE) First Annual Soundsphere 2012 Concert held on May 31 was a tremendous success.  The event raised over $550 for the NICE program, Global Voice, and the Norm McConnell Scholarship fund.

Thanks to the Soundsphere performers, our evening’s MCs Don Morrissey and Luke Shearin, the NHS custodial staff and security, and all those that volunteered to make the evening possible. Also a very special thanks to the local restaurants who gave generous donations for the evenings raffle; Mexicali Rose, Newtown Deli, Sal e Pepe, and Ferris Acres. We really appreciate it.
