St Paul’s To Hold Annual

Church Fair

WOODBURY — A sure sign of summer is the annual St Paul’s Episcopal Church Fair, which will return this year on Saturday, June 23, from 10 am to 4 pm, on the church grounds. For 60 consecutive years, this fair has attracted crowds from near and far, who come enjoy its small-town country ambiance, exciting shopping, and delicious food.

This year’s fair will feature an entire room filled with white elephant merchandise, a Treasure Chest where everything is antique, boutique or unique, an outdoor tag sale, and a large selection of furniture.

The book department is bulging with more than 5,000 volumes, which include collectible issues, an abundance of mysteries, and current novels.

Under a colorful tent there will be baked goods, delicious homemade pie by the slice, and fresh homemade bread. In addition, art, electronics, tapes, CDs, children’s toys, and games will also be for sale.

The fair will also offer activities for children, including old fashioned, low-tech country games such as ring toss.

The Chamber Singers, a special section of Connecticut Choral Society, will offer a free concert inside the church at 11 am.

St Paul’s is at 294 Main Street South (Route 6). Free parking and a shuttle bus will be located at Mitchell Elementary School, at 14 School Street. Signs will be posted along Main Street to assist fairgoers.
