Marra Heading Up The Hartford Financial Services Group

HARTFORD (AP) — On June 11, The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc announced the appointment of Thomas M. Marra to the new position of president and chief operating officer.

Mr Marra, 48, is a member of the company’s board of directors and president and chief operating officer of Hartford Life. He takes the new job immediately.

Mr Marra, who joined The Hartford in 1980, will oversee The Hartford’s life operations and The Hartford’s property-casualty operations.

Ramani Ayer, 60, will relinquish his post as president but will continue as chairman and chief executive officer.
