Police said they issued a local motorist several motor vehicle violations on June 7. Police report they charged Justin Gaynor, 19, of 12 Albert’s Hill Road with misuse of a marker plate, failure to have a front marker plate, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving without automotive insurance.

After processing, police released Gaynor on $100 bail for a June 22 court appearance.

Tractor-Trailer

About 7:42 am June 5, motorist Jaime Mestre, 34, of Ansonia was driving a 1993 Honda Del Sol westward on Mile Hill Road, when he stopped for traffic conditions at Mile Hill Road’s intersection with Queen Street, police said.

Westbound tractor-trailer truck driver William Watson, 42, of Springfield, Mass., who was driving a 2007 Mack, then struck the Honda from behind, police said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Watson a written warning for following too closely.
