Buy A Brick To Commemorate The Girl Scout Experience

The Girl Scout Council of Southwestern Connecticut announces a “Brick Campaign.” This opportunity will help finance needed additions and construction details to the present building projects at three of the council’s camps in the region: Camp Aspetuck in Weston, Camp Rocky Craig in Stamford, and Camp Candlewood in New Fairfield.

The Brick Campaign is open to the public and allows anyone who wants to commemorate a Girl Scout connection to set that special something in stone forever, thus preserving the past while providing for the future.

Each distinctive brick will be laser engraved with the text of choice and installed for permanent display in the pathway. A 4-by-8-inch brick costs $100; an 8-by-8-inch brick is $250.

Brick orders and payment need to be received by June 30 for bricks to be installed in the pathway this fall. Call the council at 203-762-5557 or visit gscswct.org for information on how to order. To download the necessary form, access www.gscswct.org/Brick%20Order%20Form%20for%20Web.pdf.

The Girl Scout organization is in the building business for girls: building skills, confidence, friendships, structures, memories, and more. More than 65 percent of women in corporate positions were at one time a Girl Scout. The council invites those past, present, and future Girl Scouts to be part of the council’s newest campaign to provide facilities for Girl Scouts.
