On Thursday, June 18, Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will host a general meeting and photo competition in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library.

June’s assigned subject is “My Backyard.” Members of the local photography club are to showcase their creativity for capturing various photography of their interpretation of their backyard. There will also be competitions in Digital, Black & White, and Open Color.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend and view the photos and hear the critiques, but the competition is open only to members. Light refreshments will be served.

Flagpole Photographers is a local non-profit group that enables members to share their images and expertise, to learn and grow in their photography, and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow photographers. Members come from diverse backgrounds, with photographic skills ranging from beginning novices to professional photographers.

Programs are held monthly, September through June, so this one will be the final before the summer break.

The library is at 25 Main Street.
