You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet

To the Editor:

Wow, 56 bucks to fill up my 2003 Taurus — and people wanna know why I do 60 miles an hour on I-84 — but wait boys and girls, I just read (AP, 6/10/08) that the Center for Biological Diversity and Pacific Environment are gonna sue the US government in Alaska to stop any possible drilling for oil.

Now let’s take a real look at this problem — here in the good old US of A we have untapped oil in the western parts of the country. It has been reported that the oil shale (aware of this ?) in Montana and Wyoming is larger than all of  the Middle East  fields — but wait, are you aware that we can even get oil out of areas that we (US population still heads the US government) own under the Bureau of Land Management.

So what is the big deal here? Yah, why is dad and mom screamin’ at the gas prices – simple: Congress.

Dem dems are not budging — for some reason they will not allow our own oil to be drilled out of our own oil area — they are beholding to the environmental wackos that feel it is in their best interest to control your life. Had enough?

Get a hold of Congressman Chris Murphy, Senator Joe Lieberman, and Chris Dodd and let them know your feelings.

Gonna be a really interesting winter when fuel oil hits the four or five dollar a gallon price — keep smiling, we ain’t seen nothing yet. Where do I go to get my government cheese?
