U11 Travel
Lightning 2, New Canaan 1 â Kailee Dunnigan scored the first goal for the Lightning and Emily Riley turned in some excellent play and scored the decisive goal. Helene Sorensen and Meaghan Brophy displayed great teamwork throughout the contest and Kate Fallon covered the nets very well throughout the game.
U13 Travel
Newtown Flash 3, Trumbull 2 â The Newtown Flash battled through the extreme heat and a two-goal deficit to claim the win, scoring all three goals in the second half. Lindsay Jossick scored two goals assisted by Lydia Beiter and Kyra Murray scored a goal (assist by Stephanie Roman). Abby Blakeman made several key defensive moves. Kelly Brooks, Bianca Solano and Julia Trudell put up a strong defensive wall. Katie Shirley stepped in to tend goal and kept Trumbull at bay. Molly Arneth and Jilliana Ciamarra turned up the heat even more against Trumbull in midfield. Meaghan Harkins used excellent techniques to move the ball through midfield.
U14 Travel
Newtown Power 4, Darien 1 â The Power jumped out to a first half lead with goals by Jessica Jowdy, Molly Mahoney, and Ale Fuentes. In the second half Jowdy added her second goal. Christina Caporale and Hannah Maret both turned in excellent performances, applying constant pressure throughout the match.Â

Smurfs 3, Pumas 3 â Emily Lones scored three goals for the Smurfs. Randy Jackson played a good game on offense. Erica Thrill, Kristen DeGirolamo, Maria Biondi, and Alyssa Kneski all played well. Andrea Sayegh scored two goals and Marysa Audet scored the third goal for the Pumas. Katherine Neave played a strong game on offense. Aspen Kraushaar provided strong midfield support. Emily Papp and Jennifer OâGrady played a great defensive game.
U10
Super Shooters 2, Blazing Monkeys 0 â Geralyn Klein and Tonya Tucker scored the goals for the Super Shooters. Kathryn Blanco played great on offense. Kirsten Yapp was a force on defense, supporting a strong game in goal by Alexis Tucker. Gemma Hyeon and Hannah Grant were solid in goal and Avery Hingham and Sophia DeVivo were solid on defense for the Blazing Monkeys. Marissa Thill had a solid all around game.

Cheetahs 3, American Eagles 1 â For the Cheetahs, Alison Indilicato scored two goals and Jackie Gouveia netted the third score. Isabella Jiminez led the teamâs defensive effort, and Bridget Walsh made several outstanding saves in goal. For the Eagles, Emily Neave scored after a pass from Grace Sholtes. Rachel Tomasino played well in goal, and Olivia Butler and Rachel Wolf led the teamâs staunch defense. Julia Sughrue played a solid all-around game.

Cheetahs 1, Little Devils 0 â Lauren Adams scored the lone goal of the game for the Cheetahs, and they had solid performances from Lin Vitarbo, Carolina Stubbs, and Josie Hoover. The Little Devils were led offensively by Simone Paradis, Katie Sailer, and Julia Sullivan. Sarah Grant and Gracie Howgego played excellent on defense.
