Rock Ridge Country Club Highlights from the past two weeks:

McGladery Team Championship

Larry McCoy, Phil Cappelli and A.J. Cappelli shot a net 7 under par 63 to claim first place in the PGA McGladery Team Championship Qualifier at Rock Ridge Country Club on Sunday. Teams of three amateurs competed in a 50-percent-of-handicap net best ball tournament. The top two teams advance to the sectional championship.  The second place team is comprised of Sean Patrick, Vincent Palumbo and John Kortze. The trio also posted a 7 under par 63. The tournament turned out to be a tight competition, with a match of cards deciding the low winner. 

Rock Ridge Ace

Ben Gertsten shot a hole in one during the PGA McGladrey Tournament. Gersten hit an 8 iron 163 yards on the par 3 fifth hole.

Bob Tendler and Leslie Trudell were victorious with a first net with a score of 6 under par 29.
