High School Marijuana
Police said an investigation conducted by Newtown High School officials found that a 15-year-old male student there possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
School officials referred the matter to police. Police charged the unidentified boy on the morning of June 9 with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Because the youth is under age 16, his identity is shielded by state law.
After his arrest, police transported the boy to the police station for booking on the drug charges.
Police released the boy into the custody of his mother for a June 23 appearance in Danbury Juvenile Court.
