Sharon L.       Whitford

Sharon L. (Donnelly) Whitford, 58, of Woodbury, died June 6 at the Staten Island University Hospital South, Staten Island, N.Y. She was the widow of Edward K. Whitford.

Mrs Whitford was born September 18, 1944, in Staten Island, daughter of Ernest Donnelly, Sr, of Florida and the late Josephine (Santoro) Donnelly.

Besides her father, she is survived by a stepson, Brian Whitford of Newtown; two stepdaughters, Lori Amaral of Newtown and Carolyn Joseph of Danbury; three brothers, Ernest Donnelly, Jr, of Staten Island, Patrick Donnelly and David Donnelly, both of Florida; and three step-grandchildren, Courtney Amaral, Darren and Eric Joseph.

Mrs Whitford graduated from the Tottenville High School in Tottenville, N.Y. For six years she was a secretary with the Bank of New York and for 20 years was a chambermaid at the Heritage Inn in Southbury. She enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially to Vermont.

Graveside services were held June 9 at the New North Cemetery, Woodbury.

The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, Main Street South, was in charge of arrangements.
