Ralph L. Cascella, Jr, 71, of Shelton, died on June 4 at St Vincentâs Medical Center, Bridgeport.
Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Funteral) Cascella and was a US Army veteran.
Mr Cascella retired as a roofer with Barrett & Nonpareil of Norwalk, and had been working at Fairfield County Dodge of Norwalk, where he was known as âMr C.â He was an avid fisherman and a true outdoorsman.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Peg (Elizabeth) (Torsiello) Cascella; four sons, Ralph Cascella III and his wife, Lisa, of Sandy Hook, Louis Cascella and his wife, Rebecca, of Ocala, Fla., Anthony Cascella of Riverton, and Albert Cascella and his wife, Trixie, of Fairfield, a daughter, Lorna Fabrizi of Monroe; a brother, Robert R. Cascella and his wife, Val, of Milford; two sisters, Rosalie (Sis) Hargrove of Ansonia, and Barbara Sattani and her husband, Vincent, of the Huntington section of Shelton; stepfather, Steve Aranguren of Ansonia; sister-in-law, Kathleen Cascella of Oxford; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ann Cascella of Shelton; ten grandchildren: Jason, Jennifer, Stefanie, Trisha, Erica, Marissa, Freddy, Tabitha, Phoebe, and Nico; a great-grandson, Dylan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Albert Cascella; and his stepmother, Evelyn Cascella.
Funeral services took place, June 9, in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment with military honors followed in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
