Patsy M. Gallo
Patsy M. Gallo, 84, a resident of Weston for more than 40 years, died on June 9 at his home after an extended illness. He was the husband of Doris (Perkowski) Gallo.
Mr Gallo was born in Shelton on May 22, 1919, a son of the late Dominick and Thomasine Veronica Gallo.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, survivors include his nine children, Patricia M. Paris of Newtown, William A. Gallo of Newtown, JoâAnn F. Leeming of Arizona, Virginia M. Oswald of South Carolina, Thomas J. Gallo of Milford, Donald Gallo of Weston, Richard Gallo of Westport, Kenneth B. Gallo of Florida, and Patrick M. Gallo of Weston; one brother, Joseph Gallo of Derby; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Prior to his retirement, he had been the superintendent of maintenance at the Weeburn Country Club in Darien for more than 25 years. Before that, he was a builder and was responsible for the construction of many homes in the Norwalk-Westport area. Mr Gallo was also a member of the Carpenterâs Union in Bridgeport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 13, at 10 am, in Sacred Heart Church, Georgetown. The Rev Mark E. Grimes, parochial vicar, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Willowbrook Cemetery Mausoleum.
Calling hours were scheduled at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown, on Thursday, June 12, from 4 to 8 pm.
Contributions in memory of Mr Gallo may be made to a charity of oneâs choice.
