Harriet Vento

Harriet Vento, 64, of Norwalk, wife of the late Domenick Vento, died on June 5 at her home.

Born in Seymour on April 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Walter Joseph and Ida (Stone) Crowther, and had been a longtime Norwalk resident.

She is survived by a son, Donald Vento of Des Moines, Iowa; three daughters, Mary Jaeger of Newtown, Donna M. Vento and Barbara Lopez, both of Stratford; a brother, Walter Crowther of St Petersberg, Fla.; two sisters, Joyce Coley of Windsor, Vt., and Barbara Smith of Weston; seven grandchildren: Kelly Malone, Joshua Vento, Dillon Vento, Nicholas Vento and Nathaniel Vento, Carmen Lopez and Ray Lopez. She was predeceased by grandson, Jonathan Malone. 

Mrs Vento was a hairdresser prior to her retirement. She was a member of St Matthew Catholic Church in Norwalk.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 11 in St Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Interment took place in St John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.

The Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, was in charge of arrangements.
