Ethel C. Bishop

Ethel C. Bishop, 86, of Fairfield, wife of the late Walter A. Bishop, died June 8 in her home.

Born in Bridgeport, Mrs Bishop lived in Fairfield since 1961. She was an avid gardener and reader, and fully enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Richard A. Bishop and his wife, Kathleen, of Newtown, and W. Robert Bishop and his wife, Mary, of Pompton Plains, N.J.; one daughter, Deborah A. Passeck and her husband, Gregory, of Southport; one sister, Ruth Beardsworth of Stratford; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also included in her family her dear and loving friend, Mary Passeck, and her loving caregivers, Inez Campbell and Icyline Satchwell. One brother, Albert Case, predeceased her.

Funeral services were held June 12 in the Spear Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, and in St Pius X Church, Fairfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in Lawncroft Cemetery.
