Erin Elizabeth Dudley of Newtown, daughter of Dr and Mrs John A Dudley, received Dean’s List honors in the School of Arts and Sciences at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

Daisha Rose Manfredonia of Newtown, daughter of Mr and Mrs William Manfredonia, received Dean’s List honors at Vanderbilt’s University Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn. To qualify for the Arts and Sciences, Peabody College or Blair School of Music Dean’s List, students must receive grades equivalent to a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Michael Sciarretto of Newtown, son of Mary Ellen Sciarretto of Newtown and David Sciarretto of Norwalk, earned highest honors for the spring semester at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Christopher J. DeFeo of Newtown, son of Monica DeFeo, graduated Cum Laude from Villanova University in Villanova, Pa., with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. Chris was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the Alpha Epsilon Delta Society, a pre-medical honor society and the Gamma Sigma Epsilon, National Chemistry Honor Society. In addition, Chris was awarded the Merck Science Award. Chris was accepted into the PhD program for biochemistry research at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and will be attending this fall.

Amy Treadwell of Sandy Hook received Dean’s List honors during the spring semester at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Conn. To qualify, students must receive grades equivalent to a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Erica M. Forde of Sandy Hook, daughter of David and Janet Forde, graduated Cum Laude from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn., with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Information. Erica plans to begin a career in finance at IBM.

 Jennifer Staple of Newtown, daughter of Arthur and Caryn Staple, graduated Cum Laude from Yale University in New Haven, Conn. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Anthropology. She was named by USA Today as one of the country’s top 20 college students. She was also named one of Glamour magazine’s “Top 10 College Women in America.”
