Elizabeth      Schiavone

Elizabeth (Tortorella) Schiavone, 88, of Bridgeport, the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Schiavone, died on June 8 at 3030 Park Fairfield Health Care.

Born in Westport on July 12, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lucrezia (Marra) Tortorella, and was a Bridgeport resident all of her life.

Survivors include her beloved family, one daughter, Barbara Capozziello and her husband, Christopher, Jr, of Newtown; four grandchildren, Christopher Capozziello III, Thomas Capozziello and his wife, Andrea, Stephen Capozziello, and Anthony Capozziello and his wife, Tina; three great-grandchildren, Kristina Marie, Alicia Linn, and Sara Elizabeth Capozziello; one sister, Helen Sickinger Misionile of Orange; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs Schiavone was predeceased by four brothers, Christopher, Dominic, Frank, and Joseph Tortorella; and three sisters, Theresa Schiavone, Mary Peluso, and Joyce Seguin.

The funeral was held June 11 in the Parente Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, and in St Ambrose Church, Bridgeport. Interment was in St Michael Cemetery, Stratford.

The Parente Lauro Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
