Correction

Board of Education members Debbie Leidlein and Kathy Fetchick were not advocating of a Yes vote on the June 8 budget, as reported in the June 4, 2010 edition of The Newtown Bee (“School Board Gives Full Support For Proposed Budget”). Ms Leidlein and Ms Fetchick said during the school board’s meeting on June 1, they would not be advocating for a No vote for the June 8 referendum, and both said they believe further cost savings could be found to meet the original $2.5 million reduction to the school board’s proposed 2010-11 budget passed by the Board of Finance and Legislative Council for the first and second town referendums.
