Registration Approaching For New SeniorNet Classes

DANBURY — The Danbury SeniorNet Learning Center located at Danbury Senior Center will be offering “Introduction to Computers” this summer to introduce more area adults, age 50 and over, to the world of computers.

The eight-week course will start Tuesday, July 10, at 9 am, and end on August 28. Classes meet once a week and last about 21/2  hours each. Computer experience is not necessary.

Course information is posted in the senior center and on SeniorNet’s Web site at www.danbury.org/seniornet.

Classes are limited to 12 students, each sitting at a computer, with a trained coach for every two students. Two fully qualified instructors lead the all-volunteer training team.

The course fee is $25, plus $30 annually to join SeniorNet if not already a member. The fee includes a workbook and the use of center computers between classes.

Registration will take place on Saturday, June 23, at the center, 80 Main Street. Doors open and registration begins at 10 am and concludes at noon. No telephone or mail-in registration will be accepted.
