Cartoon Project

To the Editor,

We would like to extend our thanks to Jeff White and all of The Newtown Bee for aiding us in our Honors American Literature community service project. Our project was to create political cartoons concerning local issues and hopefully have these cartoons printed in The Newtown Bee. Although we have not yet gotten a cartoon into print, we have learned much about the process it takes to do so. A web site has been created to display all of our political cartoons to the public, found at http://lorddweeb.tripod.com/cartoon1.htm, and it also gives a brief history of the political cartoon. Through this project we hope to have raised awareness concerning local issues.
