The Rooster Run/Walk, a 5K course with the proceeds benefiting the Newtown Scholarship Association, will take place Saturday, June 20, beginning at 8 am. The race will begin and end at the Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street. A course map is available.

Entry forms and maps are available at the Parks & Recreation office, 3 Main Street. Register online by going to newtown-ct.gov and selecting the Parks & Recreation tab, or at the Parks & Recreation office. Online or walk-in registrations will close at noon on June 19. Registration will end at 7:45 am on the day of the race.

Cost for advance registration is $25 for participants ages 18 and older (Activity #414102 A) and $15 for participants ages 5–17 (Activity #414102 B).

This race/walk is for the elite to the novice. Fee on race day is $30. Contributions are also accepted and are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to Newtown Parks & Recreation and mailed to 3 Main Street, Newtown CT 06470.
