Newtown Parks & Recreation, which is co-presenting the 2015 Mad Dash Adventure with NYA Sports & Fitness, announced on June 11 the open registration times and start times for those participating in this year’s event.

The fourth annual Mad Dash will take place Saturday, June 13, at Fairfield Hills. The event offers the ultimate in fitness adventure in which participants will run, jump, crawl, carry and climb their way through the scenic Fairfield Hills campus, utilizing both its natural topography as well as manmade structures. The fun but challenging course includes physical challenges, running, and skilled events.

Cost to participate is $35 for adults, $25 for ages 8-17, and $15 for Mini Dash participants (ages 5-8.

Online registration closes Friday, June 12, at noon.

Registration and check-in on Saturday for the Advanced and Superhero (Firefighters, Police Officers, EMTs, Search & Rescue personnel, etc) will open at 7:30 am.

The race for these groups will begin at 8:30.

Registration and check-in for family and Mini Dash participants will open at 8:45.

The Mini Dash will start at 9:40.

Family and Beginner starts will be by bib number, as follows:

Bib #1301-1400 = Wave #1, at 9:45 am;

Bib #1401-1500 = Wave #2, at 9:49 am; and

Bib #1501 and over =Wave #3, starting at 9:53 am.
