Billie V. Klesitz, 73, of Newtown, died June 5, in Danbury Hospital. He was born in Bridgeport on June 23, 1936, a son of Cecelia (Gradowich) and Victor Klesitz.
Mr Klesitz was a resident of Newtown for more than 70 years and was employed by the Town of Newtown Highway Department for 39 years until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and previously belonged to Newtown Fish & Game Club.
Mr Klesitz is survived by two sons, Billie V. Klesitz, Jr, of Ward, Colo., and James B. Klesitz of Florida; five daughters, Kathy Klesitz and Patricia Symister of Sandy Hook, Deborah Cunningham of Liberty, Maine, Christina Boisvert of Laconia, N.H., and Cathy Ann Chartier of Barre, Vt.; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife, Juanita Klesitz of Sandy Hook.
Funeral services were June 9. Interment was in Newtown Village Cemetery.
