SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. â John Pence Gallery will present an exhibition of recent oil paintings by Zack Zdrale. An opening reception for the artist will be on June 26, from 6 to 8 pm. The exhibition will continue through July 26.
Every year the gallery chooses one emerging new talent for its annual âIntroductionsâ exhibition, and Zdrale is this yearâs focused exhibition.
Zdraleâs work primarily focuses on the power and emotion found in the human form. His approach is bold and painterly. The artistâs appreciation for traditional figurative painting gives his work a technical sophistication rarely seen in todayâs young artists.
Zdraleâs carefully arranged compositions often contain figures expressing a mood that is both introspective and enigmatic. Collectors have taken note, as his work has been acquired for several substantial private collections.
The artist has participated in past group shows at the John Pence Gallery but is showcasing his recent work in this solo exhibition.
