In the win over Woodbury, pitcher Jenna Legros was dominating with 13 strikeouts. At the plate, Nicole Alberico was 3-for-3 while Renata Villareal, Melissa Fracker, Katie Schmidt, Jax Van Waalwijk, Katie Kirrane and Legros collected two hits apiece to fuel a 17-hit attack.
In the win over Derby, Megan Sajovic fired a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and helped herself at the plate by going 2-for-2. Schmidt belted a home run, Laura Newberry tripled, and Fracker doubled. Caitlin Cosgrove, Legros and Emily Kluga also had hits.
In the win over Bethel, the Lady Lions scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning and rallied from a one-run deficit to capture the win. With two outs, consecutive singles by Kirrane, Fracker and Villareal lifted the locals to the win. Fracker finished 3-for-3 with a pair of singles and a double. Legros picked up the win on the mound, striking out 10 batters. Van Waalwijk, Kirrane and Nora Lynn Shimko turned in sparkling defensive plays.
And in the win over Memorial, a four-run first inning explosion got the Lady Lions off on the right foot. Newberry was 3-for-3 while Sajovic, Villareal, Schmidt and Shimko collected two hits apiece. Stacy Broughton earned the win on the mound, allowing just four hits while striking out five batters.
