Deborah Jarvis, an employee with the Newtown Stop & Shop, was presented with The Kennedy Center’s Supported Employee of the Year Award by Mary Spinner-Clark of Easton, a job coach, and Martin D. Schwartz, president and CEO of The Kennedy Center.

Ms Jarvis received this honor at The Kennedy Center’s 53rd Annual Meeting. As a check-out clerk at the Newtown Stop & Shop for the past several years, she is known for providing “outstanding customer service with a smile.”

The Kennedy Center serves more than 1,400 people with disabilities a year throughout Connecticut, Boston, and all the boroughs of New York City. The agency also has an office in Newtown, Project CHOICE, at 117 Mount Pleasant Road.
