Summer Chess Tournament

BETHEL — Bethel Public Library Children’s Room will sponsor the Third Annual Summer Chess Tournament for children going into grades 3-8.

The tournament will be held at O’Neil’s Restaurant on Greenwood Avenue on Wednesdays, June 30, July 7, 14, 21 and 28. Each session will run from 5 to 8 pm.

Participants must attend one orientation session at the library on either Monday, June 21, at 6 pm, or Wednesday, June 23, at 4 pm. Awards will be given in two age categories. Call or visit the Children’s Room of the library to register call 794-8756 extension 5.

Bethel children have priority, but other area children are welcome to participate if there is space. More information is available at the library.
