Rising Star Summer Basketball
The Rising Star Summer Basketball League will be back for its sixth season at Treadwell Park and all players (boys and girls in grades 6-9) interested in participating should register soon. The league, sponsored by the Newtown Parks and Recreation Department, will begin on July 11. There will be two games per week, in the evenings, at Treadwell Park. Participation will include playoffs, clinics, and an All Star game. Registration forms can be found in the Newtown Parks and Recreation Spring/Summer Preview Booklet and are also available at the Parks and Recreation office. The program code is 41020A for the boys and 41020B for the girls and the fee will be $70. Any parents interested in coaching should call coach John Quinn at 270-7275.

Nighthawks Basketball Camp
The Nighthawks Basketball Camp â led by certified P.E. instructors and coaches Steve Dreger and Ryan Carey â will be held through June and July at Reed Intermediate School. The camp will focus on the fundamentals and rules of the game. Session I will be held from June 28 through July 2, 9 to 11:30 am for players in grades 2-4 and from 9 am to 1 pm for players in greades 5 and 6. Session II will be held July 5-9 and Session III will be held from July 12-16, both with the same schedules. The fee is $85 for players in grades 2-4 and $135 for players in grades 5-6. Premier Soccer Tryouts
AC Caldo of Middlebury will be holding tryouts for its fall 2004 programs on Friday and Saturday, June 25 and 26, at Meadowview Park in Middlebury. For further information and to pre-register, visit www.accaldo.com.
Westconn Basketball Camp

Namath/Dockery Camp
The Joe Namath/John Dockery Football Camp will run from June 27 through July 2 at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. National Football League players expected to participate include Anthony Becht and Kareem McKenzie of the Jets; Wayne Lucier and Dhani Jones of the Giants; Damon Huard, Antwan Harris and Deion Branch of the Patriots.The camp is open to players ages 8 to 18. Quarterback Camp
Complete QB will be conducting a two-day Quarterback Development Camp at Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield Tuesday and Wednesday, June 29-30. Quarterbacks in grades 5 through 12 attending the camp are provided with outstanding instruction in a quarterbacks-only environment. There will also be a free quarterback development clinic â open to all attending coaches â to be held after the second practice on June 30. Monroe Soccer Tryouts
The Monroe Premier U13 boys soccer team will hold tryouts in June for the 2004-05 season. Ian Banner will coach the team.
