Free Summer Chamber Concerts

WATERBURY — Greater Waterbury Classic Concerts is offering four free chamber music concerts at St Margaret’s-McTernan School and Teikyo Post University in conjunction with its Chamber Music Institute and Festival.

On Wednesday, June 23, at 7 pm, at St Margaret’s-McTernan School, will be a concert dedicated to Chopin featuring students and faculty of the Chamber Music Institute and Festival.

On Monday, June 28 at 7 pm, also at St Margaret’s, will be a concert by the Chamber Institute Faculty performing works of Russian composers.

On Thursday, July 1, at 7 pm, on the lawn of Teikyo Post University, a gala concert featuring students and faculty of the Chamber Music Institute and Festival and dancers of Connecticut Dance Theater will include works of Mikhail Glinka.

The series will return to St Margaret’s Cornerstone Room  for the final concert in the series on Friday, July 2, with a 2 pm concert by Chamber Music Institute and Festival students performing their own works written at the Institute.

All concerts are open to the public, and admission is free. Donations to Greater Waterbury Classic Concerts, Inc and the Chamber Music Institute and Festival will be accepted.
