Diana Bonvini

Diana Theresa (Gregorini) Bonvini, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late George L. Bonvini, died June 5 after a long illness with her family at her side.

She was born in Hartford, a daughter of the late Luigi “Gino” and Rosina (Marini) Gregorini.

Mrs Bonvini was a devoted wife, a loving mother and sister, and an adoring grandmother.

She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Alida Shea and her husband Vincent of Sandy Hook, Georgette Pappas and her husband Demetrios of Trumbull, and Adrianne DiCaro and her husband Salvatore of Wallingford; a beloved sister, Ezora Marini and her husband Orlando of Trumbull; cherished grandchildren, Vincent, Jaclyn, and Adam Shea and Danielle and Gregory Pappas. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

She was a resident of Fairfield for 54 years where she was active in the Democratic Party of Fairfield and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church and a member of the church’s Ladies Auxiliary. She was also an avid gardener, and a wonderful cook and homemaker.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 9 in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, in Fairfield. Interment followed in St Michael Cemetery in Stratford.
