An Appeal To Help Haiti

To the Editor:

World Help Foundation (WHF) has offered to send water purification equipment for use in response to the disaster in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Please send a donation to help offset costs of equipment assembly and shipment to a central shipment point for forwarding to the disaster sites. A letter of acknowledgement for tax exemption purposes will be provided. You can contribute by check or telephone with a credit card payment. The suffering of those effected by the flooding and mudslides, families who have lost many loved ones (1,500 men, women and children) and all of their belongings, compels us to action. Reports on the ground indicate that many supplies have been sent to the Dominican Republic but not to Haiti. World Help Foundation was approached by Water for Life Corporation to assist in Haiti. Water for Life has a business Florida contact who will pay to ship light clothing, shoes, and sheets to a business contact in Haiti for community distribution. Only light clothing is needed as it is extremely warm there. Donations of these items can be brought to Water for Life Corporation, 255 South Main Street. Please indicate the value of items donated and World Help Foundation will provide a letter for tax exemption purposes. Please deliver these items within this coming week.

On behalf of those suffering in Haiti, we thank you for your love, caring, and generosity. Our children need to see our continuing demonstration of love for those less fortunate than ourselves, but particularly when there is a disaster. There are so many ways to help.
