Music Of The 20th Century

NEW MILFORD — The husband and wife duo of Brian Krinke and Jennifer Undercofler will perform an evening of mainly American music from the past century at Merryall Center for the Arts, on Saturday, June 16, at 8:30 pm.

Violinist Brian Krinke, a native of St Paul, Minn., joined Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra as assistant concertmaster in 1999. He previously held the position of associate concertmaster of Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and performed as a soloist with that orchestra throughout the western New York region.

Mr Krinke is also an active chamber musician. He played first violin in the resident quartet at the Music Festival of the Hamptons, where he performed chamber music with the artistic director Lukas Foss. More recently, he has been featured as guest artist with the Finger Lakes Chamber Ensemble and Rochester Chamber Music Society.

Jennifer Undercofler enjoys a varied career as a pianist, writer and teacher. She holds a bachelor and master of music degree in piano performance from The Julliard School and recently completed her doctor of musical arts in performance and literature at Eastman School of Music.

Ms Undercofler has a passionate interest in contemporary repertoire.

Last season she was selected to solo with Eastman’s Music Nova Ensemble in performances of Michael Daugherty’s Tombeau de Liberace, both in Rochester and at Cooper Union in New York.

Tickets, at $15 each, can be purchased at the door the night of performance. Tickets can be reserved by calling 860-354-7264.
