Professional Organizers To Meet June 17
NORTH HAVEN â With more than 90 percent of Americans planning to organize some part of their life, according to surveys, it is probably not surprising that membership in the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) now exceeds 3,200.
This number continues to grow every month as professional organizers, across the United States and in 11 countries, try to fill the needs of people struggling to simplify their demanding lives. NAPO-CT now has organizers in almost every community in Connecticut.
To learn more about professional organizers log onto www.napoct.com or attend a NAPO-CT meeting. Chapter meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at the North Haven Holiday Inn, and feature guest speakers, education and guidance, marketing tips and networking opportunities. The fee for guests is $25 per meeting. Guest may attend two meetings before being required to join NAPO and NAPO-CT.
The next scheduled meeting will be June 17, from 9 am to noon. Guest speaker will be attorney Judy Gedge who will be speaking on the legal risks arising out of running a business, steps to minimize those risks, and the benefit of using written contracts. Ms Gedge is a small business attorney who has presented for SCORE, the Connecticut Small Business Development Center and the SBA. She is an adjunct professor of business law at Quinnipiac University and the author of A Legal Road Map for Consultants.
