The main hallway at Sandy Hook Elementary School was decorated with student artwork created throughout the school year for its art show evening on May 24.

The event was originally scheduled for the evening of May 16, but it was postponed due to the storm the day before.

Art teachers Jean Walter and Kim Hossler greeted students and their family members as they arrived. The school also hosted a book fair in the main lobby during the evening.

Artwork on display included "Comic Strip Style Self Portraits" by fourth graders, "Fanciful Frogs in Colorful Camouflage" by kindergarten students, and "Clay Emoji Bas Relief" works by second graders.

As students walked down the hallway with their parents and siblings, they pointed out artwork they created or artwork their friends created this school year.
