Stone Walls, Jazz & The Charles Ives Organ: A New Lecture Series

RIDGEFIELD — Associate Professor of Biological and Environmental Sciences Dr Mitch Wagener will discuss “History Meets Natural History: The Ecological Legacy of Historical Stone Walls” at a Ridgefield Crossings University (RCU) event at 7 pm on Friday, June 30, at Ridgefield Crossings, 640 Danbury Road.

The event will be free and the public is invited. RCU is a partnership between Western CT State University and the senior living community in Ridgefield, which aims to provide continuing education opportunities for residents and the public.

The June lecture will be the first of three occurring this summer at Ridgefield Crossings. On July 26, WCSU adjunct professor of music Stephen Roberts will offer the lecture “Organ Transplant: The Story of The Acquisition of the Charles Ives Organ by WCSU,” and then on August 24, WCSU associate professor of history Dr Burton Peretti will present “Jazz In American History.”
