Road Rage Incident Flares At Exit 11 Of I-84
State police report a road rage incident stemming from a motor vehicle collision at the Exit 11 off-ramp of eastbound Interstate 84, after which the two male drivers were charged with various criminal offenses.
State police said that the two vehicles were traveling on the Exit 11 ramp about 7:11 am on June 2, when motorist Michael Russo, Jr, 21, of Danbury was provoking motorist Jeffry Frade, 28, of New Milford.
The two vehicles then collided, state police said.
After Russoâs vehicle hit the rear end of Fradeâs vehicle, Frade got out of his vehicle and started hitting Russoâs vehicle with a baseball bat, doing about $250 worth of damage to a windshield, state police said.
Neither man was injured, according to state police.
State police arrested Frade on charges of second degree threatening, second degree reckless endangerment, second degree criminal mischief, and breach of peace. State police released Frade on $5,000 surety bail for a June 12 appearance at Danbury Superior Court.
State police arrested Russo on charges of following too closely, breach of peace, and driving without automotive insurance. State police released Russo on $500 nonsurety bail for a June 12 court appearance.
